Subject: Re: Core Angular Velocity VS Surface of the Earth Angular Velocity

Howdy Brett,

But it does not talk about the Moon slowing the Earth
through gravity/ocean tides which only seems
to affect the surface since that's where
all the action is happening. This additional
energy will be absorbed within the liquid part.

If you grab an egg which is not hard boiled
give it a spin
then stop it and immediately let it go
it will begin once again to spin
thus showing the potential energy still
doing its job within the yoke.
This is the same idea as the moon-earth system
but much slower happening.

The size/momentum of everything is where the answers lie.

The Earth is the only planet that I know of
of its kind with a significant magnetic field.

The energy from someplace must bee creating the field.

What else could be the source of such energy ??

Magnetohydrodynamics of some kind ???

I need to know more than whats being said.

Not that its important to anyone but myself.

Could this torque on the crust applied from the moon cause Earthquakes ?

Regards,
geoff

Thanks for your answers.

It is by the Entropy, That I set my mind in Motion.
Entropy is the seeking of equilibrium.
It is by the Entropy that, I set my mind in motion.
