The west coast of Oregon is on the North American Plate. To the west of =
the coast of Oregon is the Juan de Fuca plate, which is actually a =
remnant of the Farallon plate, subducting to the east and moving under =
the North American Plate. The subduction zone between the two plates is =
the Juan de Fuca subduction zone. The Farallon plate no longer exists. =20=
