Thank you Jon.  I went to Device Manager and changed the Port to #1 and =
it is working no, without shutting down.

Sorry that I posted to the whole net, instead of just Larry; I messed =
up.  BUT it is working now.  I just have to go through with the various =
settings etc.

You are dealing with a driver issue, get 64bit drivers for your USB to =
Serial hardware. You cannot use 32bit drivers on 64 bit.

You can also check the current status of your hardware in "Device =
Manager" in Windows 7.
