A while back there was a discussion on this rumor. I said I wouldn't
post again until I heard the details from Kinemetrics. Well, it seems to
be very difficult to get the full details. Here's what took so long to
get:

The system does exist.
It's called the Earthscope.
The rest of the information is in the form of a fax I recieved,
scanned, converted to gif format and uploaded to the web server. There
are two sizes of gif files for visual clarity. It's the same fax, but
the larger one is in greyscale and the smaller one is black/white. I
should have had the computer recieve the fax, but the machine is quieter
and uses less electricity.

http://www.azstarnet.com/~ghost/earthscope2.gif is the smaller file.
http://www.azstarnet.com/~ghost/earthscope.gif is the larger file, if
you can't read the smaller one.

It's not on their website yet, but when it is, it will probably be about
the same information. http://www.kmi.com/ or http://www.kinemetrics.com/

If you wanted one, you'd have to call and ask them about the price and
any other details. The rumor suggested a price of $500. End of
discussion on my end.

,Greg
