Hi,

This product may be of interest; if you want to do some
checking of the seismograph's response to temperature. Its
a cheap way to log the temperature against time. The kit
which contains a "reader" that plugs into to serial port of
your computer plus one stand alone DS1921 Thermochron
chip. The chip is about the 5/8 inch diameter and is self
contained with a battery and temperature logger. The
whole kit cost $25, extra DS1921 chips are around
$11 dollars U.S.

see: http://www.ibutton.com/ibuttons/thermochron.html

I have one that logs the temperature near the seismographs.

It may be interesting to monitor ground water temperature
near a fault area.?

Arie
