Hello Harry and dowsers, WOW!! That was SOME post !! Your mind was in overdrive! You posed many questions, which I will try to answer in a disected version of your post. >Hi Bob, > > ...Would you consider heading to >some capacity another sister dowsing group that will >be focused on dowsing for earthquakes and volcanos? A good idea, but I would not be the best one to head it. However, I am willing to act as a sort of 'scientific advisor.' Perhaps Ken Bannister would allow this -- at least for a time -- on his dowsing list. > ...we could work along side Charlotte >to see if our findings do mirror what she gets. I >pray and hope that she (Charlotte King) is alive and well too. Charlotte is alive at: http://voyager.viser.net/~charking ; but, being her own woman, she may not be willing to work with a group. She certainly is aware of dowsing. With earthquake sensitives, wellness is a relative thing -- as they are constantly using their whole bodies and minds as 'dowsing instruments.' Instead of rods or pendulums, they use aches, pains, etc. as their 'readout devices.' Hmmmmm -- didn't someone say that, "If dowsing hurts, you ain't doin' it right"? SPECIAL NOTE: Some people have castigated Charlotte for charging for her services -- this is unfair. I have seen (and held in my hand) some of her humongous telephone bills, incurred while attempting to generate awareness of earthquake forecasting possibilities. Charlotte's sensitivity has caused her many employment, health, and financial problems. And computers cost money too! >As dowsers, we all have our interest in dowsing, >mine is mostly in healing. Many of us as healers >and dowsers too can scan the living body and detect >with good accuracy discordant energy patterns that >prove to be some real health problem that is in the >making or is known by the person. Well said. I have been into radionics/psychotronics since 1974. My first adult dowsing demonstration was provided by a U.S. Marine 'Nam veteran in 1976. This was two years before Chris Bird published "The Divining Hand," where he described how the Marines learned to locate landmines, tunnels, etc., by dowsing. It saved many American lives. My own specialty is information networking; I was a speaker at the 2nd ASD West Coast Conference in Upland, CA in 1981. >The earth is living and many of us as dowsers can >detect ley lines, black radiation, and etc.... Agreed. The earth generates many energies, not just the weak electromagnetic fields that surround water veins. My webpage (see signature at bottom of page) contains many items describing these energies, and lists many scientific references regarding the energies and the detection thereof. I have many more scientific references to be added to my webpage. > ....It would be good that if some >of us as dowsers are good at detecting ahead of time >earthquakes and volcanos, that we now be identified >by working along with Charlotte and your other >sensitives [friends].... There are serious problems with this, but they can be overcome. Most people, and many scientists, are unaware of the amazing complexities involved in generating the events which we call earthquakes. An earthquake is born from a long train of processes that can take thousands of years. Then, a critical point (of accumulated stress/strain) is reached that must result in an earthquake. But years may pass before we feel the ground move. Then, there are earthquakes and there are slow earthquakes and deep earthquakes. And there are multiple-fault earthquakes, foreshocks and aftershocks. There are subduction zone earthquakes, intraplate earthquakes, and lateral-slip earthquakes, each resulting from different processes and stresses. It is these complexities which caused the seismologists to throw out a very good model as being 'unreliable.' That was the 'dilatancy model' which described the swelling of rocks as tiny stress fractures filled with water. The good news is that, the greater the earthquake, the more consistent become the signs and scientifically measurable signals. This is likely due to the larger volume and variety of rocks involved in the signal generation. > ....I would like to know others opinions on what I am >proposing. I do hope that to some degree we do get >a group formed that will do like research like >work, sharing, training, etc on dowsing for >earthquakes and volcanos. > >Take Care, >Harry Other good sources of information (in no particular order): Mr Mike Lee (an educator): http://www3.damien.edu/teachers/lee/lee.html Jim Berkland (a geologist): http://www.syzygyjob.com Dr. Chet Snow: http://www.sedona.net/nen/earthshift Canie Brooks describing Diane Pope's methods: http://users.deltanet.com/~canie/diane.html Susan Roseberg's pages: http://www.earthwaves.com http://www.earthwaves.com/quake.html Bob Shannon's Pinpoint Newsletter, etc.: http://multiverse.com/~rshannon/ Ray's Quake Zone: http://pw1.netcom.com/~rayban1/quakes.html Stan Deyo's webpage: http://www.whispersoft.com/~standeyo Terry Louthan's homepages: http://home.earthlink.net/~lilweezy http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/3438 Anne Cooper's page w/ lists of quake sites: http://www.pacificnet.net/~cooperag/ Take care, Bob Fryer PS -- Sorry PSN, I will cease and desist.
