To become a recognized site, you must submit three new ideas, never before considered on this list, on how to explain to your wife the following situations: - why the basement is filling up with scrap metal and old 486 PC parts - why the family PC has moved into the bedroom (and why it beeps when something shakes in Sri Lanka) - why you spend hours each night on ebay looking for chart recorders and old copies of books by somebody named Richter - why you are hanging around with people with amateur radio call signs on their license plates (hi W6TED!) - why there's a fence around one corner of the basement - why you wrote 653 checks for less than $7 each in one month (hey, gotta build up that parts inventory!) That's it! (and Happy New Year everybody) Regards, Ted "JIM MARTIN"on 12/30/99 01:37:43 PM Please respond to PSN-L Mailing List To: cc: Subject: Sensor site By the way, I forgot to mention that my son and I will be installing the Lehman in a remote corner of our basement. This is a poured basement, with the floor being 6" thick. Jim Martin P.S. What is necessary to become a "recognized" PSN station, once we get the sensor up and running? _____________________________________________________________________ Public Seismic Network Mailing List (PSN-L) _____________________________________________________________________ Public Seismic Network Mailing List (PSN-L)
