Hi all,

Today I released a new version of WinSDR and SDR Server. You can download
them from this page http://www.seismicnet.com/winsdr/. If you have already
installed WinSDR I would suggest downloading the exe only zip file. I am
having problems with my install/setup program and upgrades. If you use the
setup program you may need to uninstall WinSDR before the installing the new
version.

I added the code that displays the trace faster on the screen when WinSDR
redraws the history information. Also new is a way to reset the GPS
receiver. I ran into the same problem Tom Frey had the other day with the
GPS receiver returning a time different from UTC time. The problem is the
used GPS receivers I purchased have a UTC time offset stored in them. This
needs to be set to 0. I finally found the correct command to reset the
receiver to its default settings. After issuing the reset command the
receiver will set the UTC time offset to 0 and also clear out the almanac.
It will take 10 to 30 minutes, the time depends on the number of satellites
the receiver sees, before WinSDR will relock to UTC time.

The new GPS reset feature will only work if you install the new WinSDR and
SDR Server programs. Users using my new serial output A/D board will need to
upgrade the flash memory on the CPU board for this feature to work. I will
be releasing a new binary file and instructions on how to upgrade the flash
memory in a day or so.

Regards,
-Larry
