Gary,

The Add/Drop Interval is used to compensate for the oscillator on the A/D
board being off frequency a little, not the PC's clock. If you use the Local
Time reference mode you should have your computer synced to a time reference
using a program like NTP. For everything to work correctly, the PC's time
must be correct to within a few milliseconds and not jumping around too
much. If the PC's time is correct and stable the A/D board can use the time
to correctly calculate the correct Add / Drop interval time and direction
(add or drop time). Once you add GPS you should not have any problems with
time keeping.
