Geoff,
This is almost surely related to the Bureau of Reclamation's deep well =
injection project in the Paradox Valley. The project involves removing =
near surface brine water and injecting it into much deeper rocks. This is =
being done to reduce the salt load in the Dolores River. Previous =
injection related events include a 4.4 in 2000 and a 4.1 in 2004. =
Injection related events in the Paradox Valley typically remain below mag. =
2.5. The last one was Jan. 7 at mag. 2.3.
