What Geological Features Cause an Attenuation of higher frequencies of
Earthquakes Between Mexico and [GVA] ?

GVA == 33.42138N -111.57477W 507M(alt)

By Mexico I mean Gulf Of California Area.

Someone should know what wherever will cause
a noticeable attenuation of high frequencies
giving a somewhat wedge shape to the EQ graph.

Pointy end at the P wave and Wide end at the S wave ?

I do not see this in EQ coming from any other areas.

I am not formally educated in geophysics
so please keep your answer on the layman level.

Like a magma chamber or some other physical feature
located between here and there which would attenuate only
high frequencies sort of like a physical linear low pass filter instead
of a log
low pass RC filter is in electronics ?

Maybe Salt domes or sand in some kind of matrix Or the cicksilube crater
of broken material ?

I hope you understand my elementary school mentality.
NOTE: I never had prettier teachers than when I was in Elementary school.
Elementary schools will always be my favorite memories.

Speculation will be welcome.
