Hi Jon.

I=B4m from Azores, S.Miguel Island, eruptions here are not so common as in
Iceland. The last known eruption happened around 2000 and was a fissure
event like in Canary Islands. The previous one was In S.Jorge back in the
60s, was a small submarine one. Capelinhos eruption was the most impact
eruption in the last century, in 1957.

Flores, Corvo, Santa Maria islands are not volcanic active.

Latest eruptions in Azores can be found here:
http://www.cvarg.azores.gov.pt/geologia-acores/erupcoes-vulcanicas-historic=
as/Paginas/default.aspx

Probably the best island to monitor volcanoes in Azores is in the most
populated one, S.Miguel, here we have 3 major volcano systems, Fogo/Agua do
Pau, Furnas, Sete Cidades.
The most restless one is Fogo/Agua do Pau, which had a big seismic crisis
in the 80s and 2003~2005 (no harmonic tremor), coincidence or not,
Furnas/Agua do Pau volcano became restless when the first geothermal hole
was made near this volcano..but nowadays the system is stable. The area
between Fogo and Furnas volcano (10km distance), produce almost daily small
earthquakes

But Faial, Pico, S.Jorge, Graciosa, Terceira islands also ar= e volcanic active.

Any questions about Azo= res i=B4m glad to help.

Best Regards,
Tiago.
